Last week, the Breguet Flagship in London hosted for the first time in the UK an exclusive viewing of the Marie-Antoinette pocket watch, the Breguet No 1160. The presentation of this magnificently legendary Grande Complication timepiece was subject to a private event attended by an estimated 60 VIP guests. The evening was the occasion for the House to talk about the privileged relationship between Abraham-Louis Breguet and the last Queen of France, a great admirer of the watchmaker’s work and one of its most devoted clients. To do so, Breguet invited celebrated presenter, actor and watch enthusiast, Nicholas Parsons, to co-host the event. Mr. Parsons shared with guests his fabulous experience with the Marie-Antoinette watch and referenced the highly-rated documentary “The Incredible Story of Marie Antoinette’s Watch,” which was aired on BBC4 in December 2016.
